Hip Hop artists are too worried about Amapiano says Cassper Nyovest.
The rapper who is known to have explored both genres urged his co-rappers to be free and be less bothered about amapiano.
Amapiano is clearly the biggest sound in South Africa right now as it’s gather the attention of various international artists, and it’s assumed that the emergence of the genre dethroned hip hop in South Africa.
Taking to Twitter after announcing his forthcoming single, Cassper called out hip-hop artists to get creative and release songs.
“Hip hop niggas is too worried about amapiano, to be honest. Niggas is also too worried about numbers, likes and views. Just drop music niggas!! Amapiano this, amapiano that!!! Haha. The shit is going no where!!! This is the time to get creative !!! Let’s get busy!!! I’m inspired,” he exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Mr JazziQ revealed in the first episode of his podcast that hip-hop isn’t dead but the artists are at fault.
